2010 Cabernet Sauvignon (6 bottles) SALE
We are all about high quality shiraz here at The One Hundred, but in 2010 when we were tasting samples of A Grade Shiraz we tasted a couple of barrels of cabernet sauvignon that we just couldn't resist. The power and varietal definition of these cabernet parcels was stunning in their youth, and they have evolved in barrel and bottle to become a very special wine that we are incredibly proud of - in fact (and ironically enough for a shiraz producer) this may be the best wine we have made to date.
With our history working for Penfolds and our love of the iconic but almost mythical 1953 Grange Cabernet (the only time a 100% cabernet was bottled under the Grange label) we designed the label for our 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon as an homage to the 1953 Grange label.
The wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a selection of A3-grade parcels from two sites in McLaren Vale.
This is a truly special wine that you should be stocking the cellar with. Decanted and served now it is in brilliant form, but it will continue to evolve and shine for at least another decade if not two.
